Washington, D.C. – On January 19, 2009, thousands of Texans, expatriates and friends of the Lone Star State will gather once again for the quadrennial Black Tie & Boots Inaugural Ball. Regularly referred to as "the hottest ticket in town," the 2009 Ball hosted by the Texas State Society (TSS) promises to live up to expectations with live Texas music, dancing and revelry done up in grand Texas style. "Black Tie & Boots is a great opportunity to showcase Texas talent, camaraderie and hospitality here in our nation’s capital," said U.S. Senator John Cornyn, TSS President. "For one night every four years, the stars of Texas shine bright in Washington, D.C. and this year will be no exception." The 2009 Black Tie & Boots will bring famous Texas artists and newcomers alike to Washington, D.C. A partial line-up of the evening’s entertainment includes: Tracy Byrd, Jack Ingram, Cross Canadian Ragweed, Kevin Fowler, Dale Watson, Asleep at the Wheel, Kelly Willis, Bruce Robison, Emory Quinn, Charlie Robison and Sunny Sweeney along with other great Texas acts.
